Hello! We are Brenda and Kevin Needham and we recently (May 2022) purchased the Sugar Tree Inn from Kelly and Russ Fox. They did a great job here and we are excited to keep building on what all the previous owners has built. We come from St. Paul, Minnesota and absolutely love the beauty of Virginia! When deciding where to purchase a bed and breakfast, we had 2 requirements; it needs to look different than MN and we didn’t want to hear the words “Polar Vortex” in our weather forecast. I think we achieved that!

We did not come alone! Brenda’s father and step-mother Gerry and Donna Ensign ran 2 successful restaurants in their hometown in Wisconsin. When we approached them proposing this crazy idea that they sell their restaurants and move to VA to run the Food and Beverage department, they took us up on it! We seriously couldn’t be more excited that we are not doing this alone and truly making it a family run business. Plus Gerry is a fantastic cook and no one will leave here hungry!

We hope to get to know everyone in the community soon and we look forward to building memories with returning guests as well as our many new ones.
